A Caribbean Seaside Resort conveniently located in Galveston best describes Diamond Beach Resort and Spa, which is unequivocally the preeminent resort in Galveston. Our 2 bedroom/2 bath condo is located on the third floor at Diamond Beach and sleeps up to 6 people. As you step inside our condo, you will be greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. When you open the sliding glass doors, you will step onto your private balcony overlooking one of Diamond Beach’s pools and the gorgeous Gulf seascape. The balcony is a great place to sip a cup of coffee in the morning before everyone wakes up or have a nice glass of wine in the evening with your family and friends.
The master bedroom is an oasis for rest and relaxation with its chandelier, deluxe king size bed, handmade Italian headboard, flat screen TV and DVD player, and oversized private bath with his and her sinks and a rain shower. Once you try the rain shower, your spouse may never see you again because the rain shower feels so good. The 2nd guest bedroom has two twin size beds with the same deluxe mattress as the king size bed, custom headboards, flat screen TV and DVD player, and a tub bath adjacent to the room. The condo is tiled with stone floor throughout and has its own washer/dryer.
The condo comes with a fully equipped kitchen and has granite counter tops. You’ll have great views as you prepare pancakes for breakfast or eat your favorite take out foods from the large number of restaurants within a short distance from Diamond Beach. The large dining table is a great place to catch up with your family and friends while you enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the Gulf. The living room has fantastic views of the ocean, a queen sleeper sofa, and flat screen TV and DVD player.
In case you are traveling with additional family members or friends, we also own a 3 bedroom penthouse, 5PH2, on the 5th floor which accommodates 8 people (vrbo #515542) and my parents recently purchased a 2 bedroom penthouse next door, 5PH3, which accommodates 6 people (vrbo #905494).
Diamond Beach boasts of many amenities including:
Concierge: A concierge desk open 7 days a week for your convenience with a staff knowledgeable about the island’s best attractions and restaurants.
Pools: Three pools consisting of a 750 ft. lazy river with a swim up bar and grill, a gigantic 300 ft. tiered cascading pool (which includes a kids’ pool) and Galveston’s only indoor heated pool for year-round enjoyment. The pools have plenty of lounge chairs or, if you want something more private, you can rent a cabana for the day or use one of the grills on the property. The kids (and adults too) will love the fantastic water slide plunging them into the lazy river. The slide is currently closed due to maintenance issues and life guard availability.
Pool Bar: The pool bar is open on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays during the summer.
Spa: Ruthy's Spa is now open on the 4th floor. Book your appointment and relax with one of the many wonderful treatments.
Gym: The Look Better in Your Swimsuit Center (aka The Exercise Room). This place may inspire those of us (like me) who would prefer to have a tooth extracted instead of going to the gym to actually get on a treadmill with spectacular vistas of the Gulf.
Game Room. Tabletop shuffleboard, foosball, pin ball machines, a billiards table, and a Wii Room for the kids. Sometimes even parents get to play.
Cinema Room: If you are in the mood to go to the movies, all you need to do is step into the private theater room at Diamond Beach while you enjoy a bag of popcorn. The concierge has complimentary movies, or you may select from our private library or bring your favorite DVDs to play in the cinema room.
Kids Jungle Room: With its jungle murals, games, blocks, oversized bean bags and TV, this is the place to be for the hip toddler crowd.
Business Center: If you must work, at least you’ll have great views of the indoor pool and beach. The business center has computers for your use as well as complimentary WiFi and is open 24/7.
White Sand: Next to the lazy river, there is an area about the size of a volleyball court with imported white sand. This is perfect for small kids or a volleyball game. This area is great for making white sand castles or having fun in the sun.
Beach Access: If you have time to go to the beach after doing all of the activities at Diamond Beach Resort & Spa, all you need to do is open the door on the property next to the lazy river and walk down to the beach. Diamond Beach is located just steps away from the beach. There’s no need to cross the road or jump in the car.
Diamond Beach is near everything. Just a few minutes car drive from: (i) entertainment (Moody Gardens; Miniature Golf; Schlitterbahn Waterpark; The Strand; The Railroad Museum); (ii) golf courses (Moody Gardens Golf Course and Galveston Country Club); (iii) recreational activities (Seaside Bicycle Rentals; fishing for speckled trout, redfish, founder, golden croaker); bird watching (3/4 of all North American species travel through Galveston during fall and spring migration); (iv) restaurants (everything from McDonald’s to Guido’s); and (v) lots of shopping plus much more.
