Summary: This rental is a small house in a quiet neighborhood of small houses. From the looks of things it was recently renovated; the driveway surface and front walkway are new, and the house and furnishings are immaculate. When we arrived it took us un-technological folks a few tries to figure out how to get the display to show on the door lock so we could enter the code he had sent us (hint, press the Yale logo.) By the time we had unpacked and settled in, we had a message from Shane, the host, because apparently the door lock was showing as offline, and he was worried we would not be able to get in. He was very quick to respond to our questions about the lock. The house was super clean. Furnishings are simple, but functional. There are two TVs, one of them huge, but only for streaming. We’re not TV-watchers, so they were wasted on us, but given that there’s probably little to no nightlife in Spindale, it might be a good thing for some travelers! Appliances in the kitchen worked well, and washer/dryer are available. Note - there is no dishwasher (but there IS a Keurig.) The bed was a bit on the firm side, and extremely comfortable - probably one of the most comfortable we have experienced in a rental. AC and heat worked well and were quiet. We liked that there were recycling and trash bins at the street, making it easy for us to pack up at the end of our stay. The back and front yard are basically fenced, but there are open areas, so you would not want to leave dogs or children unsupervised. This is a no-frills (except for the TVs) rental - but if you want a good value for a comfortable, attractive, and clean place, with everything you could need to cook meals, and a great host, we highly recommend it! This was a perfect place for the two of us to spend a few pleasant days while on a business-related trip, without breaking the bank.
