Summary: The Old Post Office was a perfect place for a multi generational (83 yrs - 4 months) family weekend. The house was spotlessly clean, well equipped, beautifully decorated - reflecting the building’s history and it had a good layout. It was great to all be able to sit around the large kitchen table and eat, drink, chat, laugh and sing together. The outside hot tub area was excellent- it was nice and private - a real sun trap, protected from the elements with additional seating so that we could all be together outside. The house is in an ideal location to pop into York using the park and ride or there is a direct bus. We went to the Dawney Arms across the road for a lovely meal with great service. Alex the manager was also great at ensuring everything was going well for us during our stay. I would highly recommend this house- we had a wonderful, memorable weekend there!
