Maison de la Fontaine is ideally suited to family holidays. There are 3 double bedrooms, 2 of which are en suite and a family room with a double bed and a single bed. There is an outdoor cooking area, complete with a BBQ, pizza oven, a hob and a fridge. The surrounding region is of historical value with its own micro climate, enjoying 300 days of sunshine annually, benefiting from long hot summers and the most amazing star filled sky. Vineyards and medieval castles characterize the landscape whilst the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are a short drive away. The village has an award winning Cave Cooperative so a visit is a must to sample some of the best local wine. The property is located in the village of Embres et Castelmaure, which is reputed for its wine. There is daily bread delivery. Summary: We had a lovely stay with Dominique. The house itself is beautifully decorated and tiled throughout. We loved the décor and Dominique's taste and personal touches were evident. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed. The bedrooms were large and airy. The private pool and outdoor dining space was great. The property suited our 2 families perfectly as we had 5 kids between us and the pool really helped to keep them entertained. The quiet location of the house was good and it is situated in a small village. There was ample parking and the surrounding countryside offered good opportunities for exploring. Dominique was there to help out and answer any questions we had during our stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to another family with kids.
