Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Beautiful apartment in a stunning location. The place was well equipped, with good instructions and easy communication with the host. Bed was super comfy. Everything was clean and well maintained. We particularly liked the BBQ area and the amazing views from our terrace and the pool. The surrounding area was really quiet and peaceful. It's not really walking distance to the main town of Calheta, but a few minutes in the car takes you to the town centre and the supermarket.
Negative: One of our balcony doors didn't lock, which wasn't a problem for us, but as it meant the apartment was technically not secure, it would have been good to have been told this upfront by the host. Also the road down to the apartment as mentioned by others is extremely steep and narrow, so some people may not be comfortable driving all the way there. We parked on the road at the top mostly.
