Positive: The hotel itself was fine. The rooms were as expected and facilities quite reasonable. Location was good.
Negative: Sadly the whole check in process was very frustrating. I arrived early as advertised check in was 3pm and I arrived at 12 noon. Now most places endeavour to get you a room earlier than scheduled check in time, which they said they would attempt to. So i went out walking ti fill in some time but unfortunately the weather in Sydney this day was terrible as it was wet, windy and cold so i returned to the hotel after a little over an hour hoping room may be ready or not far away. I was told it had been cleaned and just needed to be signed off with around 20-30 minutes which was fine However after an hour i was still waiting and asked how much longer it would be. To which they apologised and said not much longer now. But tis wasn’t the case and there seemed to be confusion at the reception desk with radio calla being made all while I’m still waiting. In the end my room still wasn't ready by actual check in time of 3pm. From memory it was around 3.20pm before I finally had a key to a room over 3 hours after I first checked in. I understand there’s an Official check in time and early check in is not guaranteed by if you cant prioritise some rooms to be ready early then theres a major problem with the management of this hotel and couldn’t even have the room ready at check in time And there was no attempt to make up for this lack of organisation except for an excuse that they were really busy.
