Positive: We woke up in a small medieval village and to spectacular views of the mountains and Douro River. We can't imagine finding a more authentic ancient Portuguese experience.
Negative: The drive to get there was harrowing. If we came again we would probably take the train, it is a short but steep walk up the hill from the station.
