This land was a grant from the NSW Government to a convict in 1827 and comprised 100 acres of land. That family farmed this area for over 188 years, eventually retiring from dairy farming and selling off all but 5 acres, which is where this original homestead now stands. The homestead was built in 1901 and remained the family home until it was sold for the first time in 2015. The building was extensively renovated over the ensuring years to what it is today. Many of the original features remain, such as decorative ceilings, fireplaces and verandas. Today, this home sits adjacent to a working dairy farm running approximately 450 dairy cows across several hundred acres. You will see Dairy Steers grazing in the paddocks around the property. We purchased this property in 2017 and have continued the program of restoration, which now includes tree planting with species which would have been native to this area. You will see the young saplings around the property. Within easy reach of Jervis Bay and the many pristine beaches which offer stunning coastal walks and white sands within this National Park.
