Originally built in 1890 as a house to accommodate the land's cranberry bog tenders, this quaint little cottage was upgraded to a year round home in 1980. It sits on 3/4 of an acre of secluded woodland and has its own path to the private section of Lambert's Cove Beach - a 4 minute walk brings you to the crest overlooking the sand and the Vineyard Sound beyond. The house itself is charming and bright, full of rustic details and custom finishes. Fully stocked kitchen, cozy living room w/ daybed, wood stove, a semi-wrap-around deck with charcoal grill and outdoor shower; All you'll hear are the sounds of nature and waves crashing to shore in the distance. Upstairs, you'll find two bedrooms, one with a full size bed and one with two Twin beds, ample closet space and a well-equipped 3/4 bath. We look forward to welcoming you home!

Summary: We really enjoyed our time at the cottage! This is a spectacular location with the very short walk down a wooded path to the beach at Lambert's Cove. It was a nice location for food and shopping at Vineyard Haven and visiting our friends in Chilmark. I recommend you arrive during daylight hours as we did - I think it might be tough to find the place for the first time at night. Also, the size of the cottage is perfect for a couple but would work well with one or two small children in the smaller bedroom. Recommended!
