Located on Whitewood Main Street overlooking downtown-15min to Deadwood, 10min to Spearfish, 25min to Rapid City! Complete w/ Hot tub, Poker table, 4 Bedroom, 3 Bath & an expansive layout w/ plenty of room for the whole family. The reaching vaulted ceilings & original woodwork are telling of its age and history. Constructed in 1908 & was a frequent stop for Calamity Jane herself. If you know who Wild Bill Hickock is, you'll know his beloved Calamity Jane!
This grand rental speaks for itself! Historic Sandstone building with 20' celiings, original craftsmanship from 1908, high end furnishings, and just an all-around jaw dropping beauty. As the 2nd story of the Historic Jones Building, it sits atop our Rustic 1st story historic condo (separate entrances and completely private). The Jones building is located on Main Street in Whitewood, SD and was originally "The Jones Hotel", where Calamity Jane frequented on her travels. You'll see and read about the last ever photo taken of Calamity Jane in front of the Jones Building. The Jones Building is next to the Whitewood Beer Garden and across the street from the popular local Bullwacker's Bar. Whitewood is also the most central town in the Black Hills and a great lodging location for tourists and travelers. No matter what's on your list for site seeing, Whitewood enables you to be a manageable drive (most are less than 30 minutes) to all tourist attractions. Less time in the car, more time visiting attractions! Summary: The owners and the entire town were very welcoming. The property was beautiful with all of the necessities. The absolute only drawback is the stairs. Pro tip— the back stairs are an easier climb!
