This beautiful and spacious 3-bedroom home is located in the most exclusive uptown location. The house is IDEALLY located near some of the best Uptown Mardi Gras parades! In just a 2-3 minute walk, you'll be in the center of the Mardi Gras action, and then you can easily return to your large and peaceful uptown home to rest, relax, and recharge. You'll be a few minutes stroll to lovely Audubon Park, Whole Foods. and all the boutiques, cafes, and spas on Magazine Street, as well as some of the city's top restaurants. And you can easily walk to the street car that takes you straight to the Super Dome and the French Quarter. Plus, the area has its own private security patrol for added comfort.
There are very few short-term rentals in this high-end neighborhood, so this house is AN EXTREMELY RARE AND SPECIAL FIND.
The house is a far superior alternative to small, overpriced hotel rooms for MARDI GRAS, or COMMENCEMENTS.
The house is 2400 square feet and has 3 large bedrooms -- two of the bedrooms have king-size beds and the third bedroom has a queen-size bed. The home also has 2 full baths (both with shower and tub), as well as a living room with a pullout sofa for extra sleeping space, a spacious second seating area, an office, a dining room, and a large eat-in kitchen with gorgeous stone counter tops, stainless steel appliances, an island with stools for dining, and a loveseat for chatting and relaxing. The kitchen opens out onto the large second floor deck that seats at least 6, plus a grill. Relax with your morning coffee, a cocktail, or meals as you look out over the enormous, lush, very private backyard.
The house has many wonderful historical features like fireplaces in almost every room, 11-foot ceilings, plaster ceiling medallions, refinished original hardwood floors, and beautiful arts and crafts windows. Fabulous New Orleans historic charm in the most exclusive neighborhood, with the best the city has to offer so close by!
The house also has a large flat screen TV and leather furniture in the living room and sitting room and is very nice furnished throughout. You'll have plenty of off-street parking in the long driveway for 3-4 cars, in addition to ample street parking right in front of the house. The home has a great central heat/AC system, and you'll never have to worry about storms or power outages because the house comes equipped with a WHOLE HOME GENERATOR. It will immediately and automatically turn on if the power goes out and keep everything in the house running smoothly. You won't notice any difference!
Pets welcome, and there is a dog door that leads to the backyard.
