Summary: Nice 2-1 home with wood floors and minimalist decor. The house has plenty of natural light. The neighborhood is friendly and walkable with a grocery nearby. It’s about 1 hour from Houston and just 30 minutes from Galveston - great if you like day trips. Checkin/ check out were easy. The A/C and plumbing worked well. I always bring my own towels and cleaning supplies, but you will find a supply of those items should you need them. The kitchen has a working stove/ oven, microwave and refrigerator. It’s also stocked with dishes and utensils. I brought along a cutting mat and knife sharpener to make food prep a little easier. We also brought aluminum foil for easy cleanup after baking. I mostly prepared salads or cut fruit - because July heat is no joke, but I also baked biscuits and boiled eggs for breakfast. There’s a washer / dryer just outside the kitchen. Bring a few washing pods if you have sensitive skin. The bathroom is compact but has hooks to help manage towels and toiletry bags. We found the main bedroom comfortable with it’s full sized bed. The blankets were too heavy for us, so we adjusted the set up to our taste. Like many older, wood homes, it has creaky floors and some slope. You’ll need to locate and test the lights in each room so you can enjoy yourself. We opted to park in the driveway rather than risk the garage door. We had a great 3-night stay.
