Summary: Wonderful property. In Abruzzo seeking family roots. House is very spacious, clean and well maintained. Host kept in touch prior to arrival to make sure our needs were met and we would be able to locate the house. Off the beaten path, but nothing extreme. The picture on VRBO shows what looks like a bare lawn. Hardly. Beautiful landscaping on a hillside. Plenty of shade. Great views from the main living area look southeast to a massive mountain fort, adjacent valley and the Adriatic Sea in the distance. Inside is spacious with comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. Three baths with showers. AC only in the master bedroom, but hardly needed. Main room has large windows with big openings allowing the mountain air in. Three of four bedrooms had windows for fresh air. Sheep and cattle on nearby property; nice charm, no aromas. Washer available; no dryer, but drying rack and clothes pins provided. Owners wife met us at arrival. Lovely lady did her best to translate for us Americans. Very responsive to questions. Highly recommend this property. Will stay here again if we ever return to Italy.
