The airboats at Boggy Creek are specially designed to give you an incredible ride, with plenty of speed and thrills. And, of course, there’s always the chance to see some of Florida’s amazing wildlife up close. Alligators are a common sight on the tour, and you might even be lucky enough to spot a bald eagle or two.

Explore Lake Tohopekaliga
If you’re interested in a day well-spent in nature with exciting water sports, Lake Tohopekaliga in Kissimmee is the perfect option!

The Museum of Military History in Kissimmee, Florida is a great place to learn about the history of warfare and stories of those who so bravely fought. The museum has exhibits on various wars, from the Revolutionary War to the Gulf War. You can see artifacts from all of these conflicts, as well as learn about the people who fought in them.
There are a number of exhibits displaying authentic artifacts from the Revolutionary War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and many others. There are also exhibits dedicated to the 5 military branches.
There are also interactive exhibits, where you can learn about military tactics and strategy. This is a great place for kids to learn about history, and adults will find plenty to interest them as well. Kids will love trying on Army gear, climbing into a tank, and firing an M-16 rifle simulator. There are also many opportunities to take photos with historical reenactors in full uniform.

Kissimmee Go-Karts

Kissimmee Go-Karts main claim to fame is that they boast the largest race track in central Florida, at just about 1 mile long!

Unfortunately, there is no on-site restaurant, nor are there any snack stands, so if you plan on staying for the day, packing a lunch and some beverages is a good call.

Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park Zip Line

If you’re up for some morning adventures gliding through the treetops of central Florida, consider spending a couple of hours at Orlando Tree Trek Adventure Park. With a humongous 425-foot zipline, a whopping 97 different aerial challenges, and 2 special kids courses, the whole family is sure to have a blast.
You can spend the morning swinging on Tarzan-style ropes, leaping into vast hanging nets, testing your balance on suspended skateboards, and of course, soaring the skyline at one of the best ziplining parks in the state.
Reserve your time in advance (reservations are required). The park opens at 8:00 AM and groups depart every 30 minutes. You have 3 hours to complete the course (which includes a brief training session).
Relax at Kissimmee Lakefront Park

If you’re looking for a fun-filled day out on a budget, look no further than Kissimmee Lakefront Park. This popular park is among the top things to do in Kissimmee for families. The park offers the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon. Feast on a picnic beneath one of the pavilions, cast a line off the fishing pier, or stroll along the many walking paths that trace the lake’s perimeter.

If you’re feeling hungry, there are plenty of picnic pavilions under which you can enjoy an afternoon lunch (pack your own). Shingle Creek Regional Park is the perfect place to spend a day away from the hustle and bustle of the city. With its beautiful scenery and variety of activities, there’s something for everyone at this park, where you can get a glimpse into wild Florida.
Shingle Creek can be paddled for approximately 2 miles starting at Babb Creek. If you’d prefer to explore the park by foot or bike, those are also options!
Stop by the Paddling Center right inside the state park to kick off your tour or rent a device by the hour.
You have the option of kayaks, canoes, or stand up paddleboards. You can also take a guided eco-tour if you want to learn a bit about the area’s regional history, flora, and fauna while you’re there!
Catch a Show at Osceola Arts

If you’re looking for a unique thing to do in Kissimmee, check the schedule at Osceola Arts! This performing arts venue is the best place in town to catch a show. Offering seasonal performances such as Misery (based on Stephen King’s acclaimed novel), Cruel Intentions (based on the 90s hit movie), and Steel Magnolias, you can experience a fun night at the theater.
Occasionally, there are different types of exhibitions held at Osceola Arts as well. You can expect things such as The Mateo Blanco Collection, Art Without Borders, and Alberto Gomez: The Tie That Binds. Island H2O has everything from plunge slides to rapids-inspired slides, splash pads, kiddie pools, and everything in between.
There are also several dining options available at Island H2O, so you can refuel after a few hours of splashing around.
If you get too hot, there are even four luxury cabana options that you can rent for a little extra relaxation. Kissimmee, Florida is right around the corner from its big brother, Orlando. If you’re staying for an extended period of time or want to get outside the city limits for a bit, Orlando is an easy drive away (less than 30 minutes), giving you plenty of options for day trips from Kissimmee.

Be sure to visit the 4 main parks that comprise Walt Disney World Resort and Parks – Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Animal Kingdom.
