Breckenridge is known for its skiing and winter activities, but there’s more to do in this Colorado town than hit the slopes. Restaurants abound in Breckenridge, and whether you’re looking for a place to grab breakfast before hitting the trails or a romantic dinner spot with a view, you’ll find something to suit your taste.
Here are some of our favorite restaurants in Breckenridge.
Most Affordable Restaurants in Breckenridge
Pho Real
- Address: 301-2 N Main St, Breckenridge
- Hours: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Daily
For the best Vietnamese food in Breckenridge, look no further than Pho Real. It’s a counter service restaurant, meaning you order your pho and toppings at the counter – there is no table service. But for the prices and quality of food, it’s worth it! It’s a great way to warm up after a chilly or rainy day, especially if you like your pho a bit spicy!
If you don’t want to wait in line, you can order your pho online, but half the fun is ordering at the counter. With high-quality, fresh ingredients, and a family owned and operated restaurant, this is a solid choice in Breckenridge.
We love the beef broth with chicken, spicy with extra cilantro!
Soupz On
- Address: 400 North Park Avenue #10b, Breckenridge
- Hours: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Saturday; Closed Sundays
Let’s be real, who doesn’t love a delicious, soul-warming soup on a snow day!? One of the best parts about cold weather is that it is officially soup season, and this soup-centric eatery in Breck hits all the marks. With a wide variety of homemade soups and fresh baked breads to feast on, you’ll feel nothing short of satisfied upon leaving.
In addition to soups and bread, they also have a pretty good selection of salads and sandwiches. Our favorite preparations? The Green Chile Mac and Cheese Soup, Broccoli Cheddar Soup, and the Caesar Salad. However, be forewarned that the menu changes daily, so some of these options may not be available when you visit.
In case delicious food and friendly staff wasn’t enough to draw you in, you’ll be pleased to learn that Soupz On is very generous in their humanitarian efforts as well – they are regular contributors to the Father Dyer Sunday Evening Dinner.
Although the restaurant is takeout only, we’d be remiss not to include it on this list of best Breckenridge restaurants, because it is simply that good.
Above the Blue “REDDZ”
- Address: 421 S Main St, Breckenridge
- Hours: 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM Daily
Another delicious counter service restaurant is Above the Blue “REDDZ” on Main Street. It’s one of the best options for a late night snack, since they are open until 2:00 AM (even on weeknights!).
They have greasy, post-drinking staples, such as Cheesesteaks, Gyros, and our personal favorite, Frito Chili Pie! The pulled pork sandwich and meatball sub are also fantastic – it’s difficult to choose just one! The ultimate in comfort food options, you’ll love your late-night snack at Above the Blue.
This is a no-frills place, but the quality of food is more than you could hope for in the middle of the night.
Sancho Tacos
- Address: 520 S Main St, Breckenridge
- Hours: 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM Sunday through Thursday; 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM Friday and Saturday
Don’t let its location inside the mall fool you – this place has some decent tacos! Despite Breckenridge’s location in the snow-capped Rockies, you can be sure that someone in the kitchen at Sancho Tacos knows what goes on South of the border.
Try the queso dip with cashew sauce, duck tacos, and carnitas tacos on corn tortillas. The margaritas also hold their own!
Whether you’re craving a classic beef taco or something a little more unique like Chicken Tinga tacos, they’ve got something for everyone. And for those who like it spicy, be sure to ask for any of their house-made salsas – they’ve all got a little kick to them!
Mid- Range Restaurants in Breckenridge
Breckenridge Brewery & Pub

- Hours: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Daily
This is a solid choice in Breckenridge for a friends’ night out, solo diners, or couples looking for a casual, fun date night. The two story restaurant is well-known throughout this mountain town, though the main Breckenridge Brewery isn’t located on-site, it’s in Littleton. Still, you can have fun sampling all of the beers that the brewery has become famous for in the world of craft ales.
For drinks, go for the beer flight, as you can get a sampling of some of Breckenridge Brewery’s finest selections without overindulging!
In terms of a bite to eat, they’ve got a wide variety of upscale pub food from which to choose. Popular options include the Reuben sandwich, complete with homemade Thousand Island dressing, their Fish and Chips (surprisingly delicious and fresh considering Breck isn’t a coastal town!), the Meatloaf, and the Chorizo and Green Chile Mac and Cheese.
Blue River Bistro

With artfully selected abstract décor and a cozy ambiance, Blue River Bistro is a great apres Ski option in Breckenridge. If you’re looking for a great place for a date night that won’t break the bank, this is a great spot.
Blue River Bistro is known by locals for their impressive selection of vegetarian and vegan options, as well as an epic brunch (with some of the best Bloody Mary’s in town!). If you’re visiting for brunch, try the Eggs Benedict or Shrimp Po Boy.
Visiting Blue River Bistro for dinner? Then you’ve got to try the Pine Nut Crusted Scottish Salmon or the Buffalo Short Ribs – to-die-for!
We definitely recommend reservations, particularly on weekends or for brunch, as this place is fast to fill up.
Aurum Food & Wine Breckenridge
- Address: 209 S Ridge St, Breckenridge
- Hours: 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Daily
The ambiance of Aurum Food & Wine is second-to-none. They have a stunning glamping vibe, complete with high-end yurts, igloo-like glass enclosures for outdoor dining, and lavish tents with twinkling lights that make your outdoor dining a cozy experience regardless of the time of year. On the acclaimed ‘restaurant row’ of Ridge Street, Aurum Food & Wine, following a long-overdue makeover, is now one of the trendiest establishments in Breck.
The ambiance isn’t the only thing that keeps us coming to Aurum Food & Wine – the food and service is also top tier. We’re still drooling over the Cherry Smoked Pork Roulade and the Korean Beef Tartare.
Be sure to try one of their innovative cocktails before your server recommends a wine pairing for your meal.
If you’re looking to take advantage of some great specials, try to visit from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM for their famous Happy Hour! Reservations strongly recommended (particularly if you want to sit in a yurt or igloo for dinner).
Blue Stag Saloon

- Hours: 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM Daily
If you’re looking for quality, unpretentious food in a quaint cabin setting, the Blue Stag Saloon is perfect. It’s a fun place to try after a long day outdoors in Breck. This New American eatery offers up heaping portions of their home cooked meals. Be prepared to take some home if you’re a light eater!
The menu offers items such as Rocky Mountain Oysters, Colorado Bison Chili, and Wood Fired Pizzas.
Though it’s not a foodie restaurant per se, you won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a quality, moderately priced meal.
Bold Restaurant & Bar
- Address: 505 S Main St #B1, Breckenridge
- Hours: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Sunday through Wednesday; 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday through Saturday
Although Bold Restaurant and Bar serves a solid dinner menu, this is one of our favorite places to grab a hearty breakfast in Breckenridge.
A cozy and quaint reclaimed wood interior makes you wish you’d come to brunch in your pajamas! Be sure to try the Green Eggs and Ham or the Chicken and Waffles. One of the breakfast highlights here is that they serve real jam with their toast and have some of the best hash browns around.
If you come for dinner, you can’t go wrong with the Greek Fries (and Wrap) or the Moroccan Chicken.
Michael’s Italian Restaurant
- Address: 326 S Main St, Breckenridge
- Hours: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Daily
This casual Italian eatery is the ultimate in comfort food! Though it’s not a traditional pizzeria, the pizzas here are absolutely delicious. The quality of their Italian-American dishes are on par with what you’d find in Boston’s Little Italy.
With freshly made pastas, flavorful and tender meatballs, and stick-to-your-ribs hearty sauces, it’s a perfect option after a cold day on the slopes.
You’ll want to be sure to arrive with a little extra leeway in terms of time (i.e., don’t come when you’re already starving!) as they don’t accept reservations and there is often a wait.
Breckenridge Distillery
- Address: 1925 Airport Rd, Breckenridge

The restaurant at Breckenridge Distillery is a fun option if you want to take a distillery tour for an afternoon followed by a yummy meal. Though the Distillery is obviously known for its house-crafted spirits, the food does not disappoint.
For a truly memorable experience, try the whiskey flight paired with menu items. If you’re ordering a la carte, we love the Hazelnut Braised Pork Belly or the Garlic Rubbed Prime Rib.
Don’t forget to pick up some bottles of your favorite spirit to take home!

Hearthstone Restaurant
- Address: 130 S Ridge St, Breckenridge
- Hours: 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM Daily
We can’t say enough about the caliber of food and service at Hearthstone Restaurant. This is our top pick for high-end Breckenridge restaurants, hands-down. Located in a beautiful old Victorian home, Hearthstone Restaurant offers a level of intimacy and attentiveness that leaves little to be desired.
All aspects of the dining experience, from making a reservation, to being seated and waited on, to enjoying your meal and finally paying and leaving, are executed flawlessly by Hearthstone. We strongly recommend you make reservations for this place, as the word is out and it is often quite crowded.
Be sure to try the Blackberry Elk, the Bison Short Ribs, or the Prime Culotte Steak. Their nightly dinner specials are also worth a shot!
Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon
- Address: 109 Lincoln Ave, Breckenridge
- Hours: 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM Daily
For a truly elegant dining experience, look no further than Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon. This newly renovated space is perfect for an anniversary or birthday dinner for your partner. While you’ll find that Breckenridge restaurants are not exactly cheap to begin with, this one takes the cake in terms of high prices.
However, the food and service are unparalleled. This steakhouse is among the most popular restaurants in all of Summit County, let alone just Breckenridge.
Get your favorite cut of meat served alongside heaping plates of family-style side dishes, adding to the intimacy of the restaurant. We recommend the Ribeye with Shishito Pepper and Mac and Cheese sides. Yum!
