We rode out a rainstorm over Margaritas and Tacos at Velvet Taco, and it was an experience to remember. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the aroma of sizzling meat and the buzz of conversation from the lively crowd. We started our meal with some refreshing margaritas, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of tequila and citrus. As for the tacos themselves, we were blown away by the variety and quality of the offerings. From the crispy falafel taco to the juicy Cuban pig, each bite was packed with flavor and texture. Despite the storm raging outside, we were warm and content inside Velvet Taco, enjoying the delicious food and festive ambiance. While I didn’t stay at The Aloft on this trip, I have stayed here previously and enjoyed it immensely, especially the quiet bar after a long day of meetings.

Last Words
While not related to Staying in The Domain or North Austin, I would be remiss to not talk about two other dining experiences.
The first is an incredible meal we had at an out-of-the-way restaurant called Barley Swine. We were treated to an amazing dinner here by our friends over at Propellic. The food experience was one of the best I had ever had.
The second was a stop for the epitome of Austin cuisine: a pile of meat at the legendary Terry Black’s BBQ. While night and day to Barley Swine, it was every bit as memorable.
