Positive: The setting of the lodge is wonderful. Very peaceful secluded place that is surrounded by stunning nature. Lots of different birds to observe, we were even fortunate enough to see deer, hares, tawny owls and a barn owl! There are beautiful lakes to walk around with a lovely bird hide equipped with blankets, binoculars and a book to record what you see. Perfect location for a trip into York City. There is a pub just 0.5miles away that serves the most delicious home made pies - lamb and mint was stunning. Highly recommend as a perfect getaway! We had a lovely mother daughters family weekend away 😁
