Summary: This two night vacation in the windy, cool weather of March was a spontaneous, quick decision. The area was close to where we wanted to explore with an adequate and up close view of the lake. The cabin was clean and we made use of the covered porch for our meals. The kitchen was well outfitted for cooking. The beds were comfortable enough, but sounds of walking and TV could be heard next door. Wi-Fi and a smart TV for a late movie rounded out our needs. The nearby busy road produced some traffic noise, but the plentiful birds, geese and ducks provided enough nature sounds to help drown out the noise. Our last night was somewhat interrupted by a large truck that kept coming and going through the night. One thing I would suggest is that the manager move the RV which blocks a good portion of the lake view. Still, it was a nice enough view with access to the dock. The owner has put a lot of time and energy into creating an affordable, inviting space. He even let us stay a bit longer for checkout. Overall, the weekend staying there and exploring the area was a winner.
