Positive: The host and manager were extremely responsive and attentive to all our needs. We arrived early in the morning, and they kindly arranged for an early check-in, which was a great bonus. The villa itself is spacious, with a lovely pool just a few meters away from the patio. The kitchen is fully equipped, providing everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Location: The villa is located within the secure PlayaCar community, offering an extra layer of safety with checkpoints to enter. Additionally, the villa has 24/7 security for peace of mind. Right outside the complex is a bike lane, which we enjoyed using throughout our stay. The host provides bikes, including one that was perfectly suited for my daughter (134 cm tall). For younger children, there are two bikes with attached kids' seats. The bike lane stretches all the way to Chedraui, making it a convenient and enjoyable way to explore nearby restaurants, shops, and beaches. Beaches: The host offers access to The Reef Beach Club, which provides lounge chairs and umbrellas. You'll receive a card for 4 people (with the option to request a second card if needed, as we did with a group of 6). It’s best to arrive early (around 8:30–9am), as the club has a capacity limit of 50 guests. While the beach here is small, it’s a nice spot to relax, and you can always walk a bit further to find a quieter spot. (Note: Beaches in Mexico are public, so you can set up your towel anywhere.) The closest beach shown on Google (a 6-minute walk) is actually private property belonging to the RIU hotels, and access is restricted by security guards. However, there is a public beach near the archaeological site in PlayaCar, about a 15-minute bike ride away. To get there, you’ll walk through some ruins, cross a small road, and then you’ll find the beach. Additionally, Playa del Carmen has many public beaches, although those near downtown can be quite busy.
Negative: Tip for Easier Food Delivery: To help delivery drivers find the villa more easily, note that the entrance to the complex is located directly across the road from Sandos PlayaCar.
