Summary: Lieselotte’s place is about one hour outside of central Berlin (door to door from almost any Berlin locale). We stayed 4 nights so there was plenty of time to tour Berlin and get the feel of suburban living just outside of Berlin. This German suburb is very sweet with a lake you can swim in nearby; lots of bike & walking trails & convenient to the bus that will take you to the Rhansdorf train station or you can walk 25 minutes to the train station on one of the bike trails. From the station, it’s a 35 minute train ride to central Berlin. The apartment is quite spacious 2-bedrooms with an outside patio to enjoy a nice breakfast or quiet moment. Clothes washer is included & the kitchen is fairly well-stocked with utensils if you want to cook. The shower can be tough. Because of the low ceiling, unless you are 5’ 2” or shorter you cannot stand in the shower and may have to clean your body piecemeal or have a bath in the small tub. This is one small drawback and the other is that Lieselotte turns the WIFI off at night. These were actually small inconveniences because this place is delightful & Lieselotte is very kind & helpful. I would definitely return here on a future trip.
