We welcome you to our spacious private house in unique location with an amazing ocean and mountain view. In the heart of small friendly Flateyri village, 20 minutes drive from Isafjordur. 2 floors, 4 large bedrooms, great open kitchen- living-and dining area, 2 bathroom with shower, (and 1 bathtub in upstairs bathroom). Big garden & terrace, new gas grill. The house is recently refurbished by the owners, a few families who share the love of picturesque Flateyri. Perfect for 1-4 families or a small group of friends. A perfect spot to explore the magical Westfjords
The house is spacious and warm, newly refurbished with a breathtaking view over the harbor area and the mountains surrounding the village and the fjord - the harbor is just a few meters away. Superb location for visiting many of the main attractions in the Westfjords. Private lovely outdoor area, big garden with terrace and BBQ, available for guests to use. First floor: The heart of the home: a great open spaced kitchen- dining- and living room, you will love it! Spacious hallway. Bathroom with shower, and also a washer&dryer. On the 2nd floor we have 4 bedrooms, 2 very good sized one, 1queen/twin and a sleeper sofa in the largest rooms. 2 normal sized bedrooms with 1 queen in one and 1 queen/twin in the other. (Possible to accommodate 10-11 persons maximum, by using one or two floor mattresses) Please be in contact, if you are traveling with your child/children as we have children's discount.
Nice bathroom upstairs with a walk-in shower and a bath tub. Large windows and unforgettable ocean- and mountain view, what a delightful morning view while brushing the teeth:-) We are art- and design lovers and have put our heart into renovating and refurbishing the house, and we must admit, we absolutely love to stay in the house! It embraces you and with the high ceilings it gives you a feeling of space and comfort. We are foodies, so we have the kitchen well equipped for home cooking.
The usual check-in time is 16:00 but flexible if the house is available earlier. Usual check-out time is 11:00 (but can also be flexible).
Access to all amenities in the house. We provide towels and bed linen. Shampoo, conditioner and soaps. Washer and dryer. Guests have access to free wi-fi internet connection. Please help yourselves to coffee and the basics in the kitchen (oil, sugar, salt etc).

The Westfjords are still an untouched part of Iceland, the home of bird cliffs and seals swimming along the stunningly beautiful coastline, magnetic mountainous fjords, black and white beaches, waterfalls, remoteness, -a place where the wild nature takes your breath away. Önundarfjord, where the color of the sea is unique, a beautiful fjord in the Westfjords, known for its spectacular row of mountains on both sides of the fjord.
A swimming pool is in short walking distance from the villa with indoor pool, sauna, indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Just a couple of minutes walk to the local restaurant and bar Vagninn which we recommend to visit and enjoy a nice meal, drinks or both. (open is summer time) Next to the house is the lovely old bookstore, one of the oldest stores in Iceland. White sand beach at Holt 10min drive, optimal to swim in the North-Atlantic ocean! Kayak tours and Sea angling from Flateyri harbor. Short driving distance to main attractions in the Westfjords. 20 min. drive to Isafjordur the largest town in the Westfjords. Day-trips to Hornstrandir nature reserve from there. The waterfall Dynjandi approx. 1,5 hrs drive from Flateyri. A boat tour to Vigur is unforgettable.
