This unique 19th century Cave House has been lovingly restored to a high standard, set in beautiful lush tropical gardens, with private pool. Surrounded by orange and lemon groves with olive and almond farms also. There are stunning 360 degree Mountain views, making this property ideally located for cycling, walking, bird watching and wildlife/nature enthusiasts. The village of La Murada is only 1 km, with plenty of typical Spanish bars and restaurants, as well as banks, chemist, supermarkets, several specialist shops, a petrol station and medical centre. La Murada is well known for its excellent market, on a Sunday, which brings people in from all over the area. Quiet countryside location, car hire advised. Just 30 min drive from Alicante Airport, 50 min drive from Murcia Airport and 10 min drive to the Large historical town of Orihuela. Beaches are 30 min drive away.

Summary: This villa really is beautiful, far enough away from all the noise and built up areas, but still close enough to drive to everything you could want to do. We were a family of 2 adults and 3 kids and there was plenty of room for all of us. Lots of room to play and of course the pool, which was great at any time of day 👍 I even enjoyed a few early swims on my own around 7.30am with the sunrise 😊. The back bedroom is the warmest one as it's the furthest into the cave, although they did provide a dehumidifier, which removed the moisture 👍 There's then a twin room and another double, which is where the WIFI will work, as well as outside, but outside of that there's no signal or mobile reception inside, so just worth bearing in mind if you need to download anything on tablets/phones to watch in the bedrooms. Claire and her husband were great hosts, English too, which made everything easier for us, but they have really good local knowledge, which we used several times 👍 In regards to hiring a car, don't get dupped like we did going through a 3rd party, paying for "full insurance" when chances are it won't be and you either then pay for full cover (we did at €350 extra) or risk without it. Bearing in mind they will look for any scratch, dint or mark on the car anywhere, so take pictures and/or video. Most days were no more than 45 minutes away, with Benidorm being a little over an hour. Overall a brilliant experience, an amazing villa in a great location. Enjoy 😊😁👍
