Summary: Robin is a super host, promptly responsive and always available for anything you might need. The property and the neighborhood have seen better times but the area is calm and very relaxing. Location is key! The house faces the Caribbean ocean with views of 180 degrees. Each bedroom shares a fantastic view so everyone can enjoy the fascination of even a dark night sky suddenly lit by lightning. The beach is a bit rough right behind the house, but a short walk can leave you in an area that you can enjoy. Otherwise, a five-minute drive takes you to playa La Angosta which is a family-friendly beach but they charge for absolutely everything and it's not value for money. The house is enormous! You can fit your family comfortably and the fact that each room has its bathroom makes it even more private for everyone. Remember your soap/shampoo and other toiletries! We did miss some bowls for serving or preparing and serving meals, but other than that, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you may need to cook your own meals. There is a Rey supermarket or an Xtra market in Sabanitas, half an hour away from the house, so make sure you stock up on everything you may need. Remember your condiments! Otherwise, you have these tiny corner shops where you can get emergency supplies if needed. The pool area is fantastic, with an area that is a bit shallower just in case. However, if you have young children who do not know how to swim, always exert caution. We had 3 teenagers who absolutely loved the pool and enjoyed every minute of it. We only rented one unit so we got to share the common area with Robin, but we didn't notice her around. All rooms are air-conditioned and the living room/dining area also has an air conditioner, which makes the whole experience more enjoyable -- there are bugs: you're in the tropics and you'll notice it. Be prepared. It's also very humid! We travelled with a nanny who also got a room of her own with a private entrance through the kitchen. The parking area is also huge and it has space for a tall car if you need it. Overall, you get a very good value for this property. I highly recommend it. The only reason for a 4 on cleanliness is that the cleaner didn't check the fridge from the previous lodgers who left some perishables in the fridge which had gone bad and the stove/cooking area could have been better. Other than that, the bathrooms were clean, we had fresh linen and toilet paper. Great experience, thank you!
