Pearly Beach is a rural haven of endless white beaches and indigenous fynbos dunes. It is a quiet town, for people to relax and unwind from busyness and distractions of life.
Uitwaaien is a Dutch word that means "to take a break to clear one's head" or literally "to walk in the wind" with the intention to refresh yourself and your mind.
Philip has Dutch heritage and grew up with this saying and we both lived in the Netherlands in Amsterdam and Haarlem for 5 years when we were just married.
The space
Just a short 250m walk through the fynbos or down the street to get to the beach. It has a sheltered patio with endless fynbos and sunset views, as well as a distant sea view.
This newly built cottage with modern interior has 3 bedrooms, taking a maximum of 6 guests.
Bedroom 1 - Queen size bed with shelving and hanging space for clothing
Bedroom 2 - Queen size bed with shelving and hanging space for clothing
Bedroom 3 - 2 Bunk beds with drawers
2 bathrooms (one on-suite), both with showers and hand showers, one with a bath.
Kitchen - fully equipped to provide a comfortable stay, including a gas hob, toaster, a Nespresso machine and Coffee plunger.
Entertainment - Plenty board- and card games available as well as a smart TV - please bring your own log in details.
Open lounge/dining/kitchen area - connected to the outside areas with sliding doors.
Indoor and outdoor braai/barbeque area. Indoor area can be used as a fireplace in winter as well.
Provided - Beach towels, bath towels, hand towels, hand soap and body wash.
Other - Alarm system, safe in main bedroom, parking for 2 vehicles and full uncapped WIFI available.
There are 2 shops for necessities in Pearly Beach, but you might want to stock up in Gansbaai on the way there.

Even though there is space for 8 people, we only allow 6 at a time, due to limited space in communal areas.
