Turkey's Nest is a wildlife refuge, registered under the Land for Wildlife scheme, and as such we cannot allow pets. While Brisbane swelters in summer heat, Mount Glorious (620m above sea level and surrounded by D'Aguilar National Park) is pleasantly cool (be sure to bring a jumper, as temperatures average 6 degrees less than Brisbane at all times). On chilly winter nights, as mists waft through the forest, relax by a cosy fireplace, where you'll find a CD player and range of CDs, ipod docking station, a selection of books and games, complimentary port and home-made chocolates, before retiring to a bed warmed by an electric blanket.
A short stroll to the tranquil village of Mt. Glorious offers bush walking in the rainforest of D'Aguilar National Park, three cafes, a quality restaurant with stunning views over the valley below, and a unique sculpture garden.
