This house, dating from the beginning of the 19th century, reflects much of what was the life of a family in Portuguese rural areas. For this, most of the furniture and utensils of that time were preserved. One can not fail to make a series of changes in order to turn compatible the comfort required in today's world with the presence of this history.
To this objective, the modernization works were carried out, which included the construction of a modern bathroom and Kitchen with equipment that allows the preparation of meals and the preservation of food: refrigerator , cooker, oven, microwave.
The transformation of the old tank into a small pool, surrounded by trees and a large lawn allows people to stay in a relaxing environment in perfect relationship with nature, in which is also present the constant singing of birds.

that cross the country from north to south and east to west, allows in less than 1 hours visit the historical cities of Porto, Coimbra and Viseu. The city of Aveiro, so typical for its channels and its boats, called Moliceiros, is less than 20 minutes away. The natural wonder that is the Ria de Aveiro, the beautiful beaches of the region, with emphasis on Barra, Costa Nova and Torreira are also in a circle of 20 km. Here you can also practice water sports like sailing or kitsurf, make bike rides and thus, more paused, enjoy the beauties crossed by the famous walkways of the region. We also have available to our guests 2 bikes on request with an additional cost .

Summary: We really wanted to enjoy this property, however the property wasn’t what was advertised so we could not. This property is a single family home turned into two separate rentals. Both renting parties share parking, outdoor spaces, and pool. While the host was prompt with their responses, we did not get a welcome feeling from them. We mentioned to perhaps having my wife’s aunt and mother visit us which the host agreed to. We had my wife’s mother stay with us one evening, and then picked up her aunt the next day before going out. The host saw this and approached us and stated the additional guests had to leave immediately which we found uncomfortable, and confusing since not a single rule was being broken. The host also took issue with my son wanting to lay on the couch in the living room to watch tv. While changing linens on a bed, she removed the blanket my son had placed on the couch, also taking his stuffed animal. When I brought it up she acknowledged that she did take it by mistake with the blanket. I don’t know why she didn’t mention it as soon as she noticed. She then told me she would only return it the following day in the afternoon. I practically had to beg to get it sooner. All that aside, the grounds of the property are pretty and well maintained, it’s just a shame the listing leads you to believe they are for a single renter. Also, the property is extremely remote, and throughout the night each night there were several dogs barking all through the night.
