Edzell is a charming village with lots to see and do, and is well situated between Aberdeen and Dundee. The village was originally named Slateford and was renamed in 1818.

There are lots of other dog walking spots including the North Esk River which is less than a 5 minute walk away from the apartment. Here you can also walk across the 'Shakin’ Brig', a 100 year old suspension bridge. The village is also known for the Rocks of Solitude walk that is accessed through a blue door approx. a mile out of the village. Edzell is also a gateway to Glen Esk and Glen Lethnot which boast beautiful walks and scenery.
