The Hideaway (Cottage 4) is about 500 sq. ft. in all, and it is divided into a kitchen area, a living area with a sleeper sofa and fireplace, two bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a bathroom with a shower. It also has an enclosed storage area at the front.

The cottages are behind our house, on a dead-end, residential street, across from the Niantic River, so the atmosphere is peaceful. The cottages are a cozy space with an authentic "cottage" feel, but it also have the modern necessities: tv, wireless access, and air conditioning.
Guests in our cottages have access to the boat launch in our cul-de-sac, perfect for kayaks, canoes, and other small crafts.
We have owned the cottages since 2004, we live on-site and we are available to address any problems via phone or text.
Our neighborhood is quiet and residential, but also very close to lots of great activities and attractions. The beach, and quaint downtown Niantic (complete with ice cream parlor, movie theatre, boardwalk, farmer's market, etc) is a ten minute drive. The stunning Harkness Memorial Park, Eugene O"Neill Theatre, Florence Griswold Museum, Nature's Art Dinosaur Park, are all very close. Mystic Aquarium and Village are maybe twenty minutes. In short, this is a great area of the Connecticut shoreline, with lots to do. Our unassuming little town is more affordable than some of the pricier nearby towns, but gives you easy access to all the great stuff in the area.
The cottage has parking for one vehicle, and possibly two if we have room (ask when you book). The New London train station is maybe ten-fifteen minutes away. Lyft also operates in the area.
Our TV provider is a streaming service which includes a wide range of channels and networks.
