The Gathering Place, situated on 160 acres looking out over Lutak Inlet, has one of the most spectacular views in all of Alaska. Watch for humpback whales, sea lions, seals, porpoise, killer whales, eagles, and more right from your front porch as you enjoy your morning coffee or evening nightcap. Truly a piece of heaven most vacationers never get to experience. We are just 3 miles from the Alaska Marine Highway terminal, 7 miles from downtown Haines, and only a mile from the famous Chilkoot River, one of the most popular sites for fishing, bear viewing, and watching eagles.
In the evening head to town for a wonderful dinner at one of our great local restaurants or prepare your own meal in your cabin or on the fire pit just outside your door.
Cabins #1 and #2 are fully furnished, each with a private bath, one bedroom with a queen bed, a sleeping loft accessed by a ladder with a full bed and twin bed, living room with pull-out couch, and a kitchenette, plus a private deck overlooking the water. TV with DVD's, limited wi-fi and cell service.
