Just steps away from the center of the Village of Greenport, the Farmhouse is the ideal place to escape and enjoy the beauty of the North Fork. This 4000sf + house features five jumbo sized bedrooms, three renovated bathrooms, fully equipped open chef's kitchen, dining room, a gorgeous turn-of-the century fireplace and a generous private outdoor space with BBQ facilities to accommodate large groups. Large, oversized windows and plenty of original details have been wonderfully preserved in this historic mid 1800's Farmhouse. With the beaches and vineyards a short drive away (some a short walk away!) you can spend the day exploring the town and arrive home to relax and unwind on a charming wrap around porch. The Neighborhood Quaint and unassuming, you can truly unwind in complete privacy in this beautiful waterfront village. Our house is a short 5 min walk to the Jitney and LIRR stops, walk also to all the great restaurants and bars in the village including Noah's, Bruce & Son, Aldo's, 1943 Pizza Bar, First and South and Stirling Sake. Walk to 5th Street beach and 67 Steps Beach. Several other beaches including Town Beach, Southold and Nassau Point Beach, Cutchogue are less than a 10 minute drive away from the house. All the great wineries that the North Fork is known for including Kontokosta, Bedell, Pindar, Croteaux, Pellegrini, Sparkling Pointe and Macari, are just minutes away. Walk to Greenport Harbor Brewery - a must! On your way to the house you can stock up on fresh fruit and vegetables at many farm stands including Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck, Catapano Dairy Farm and Sang Lee Farm in Peconic, Wickham's Fruit Farm and the East End Mushroom Company in Cutchogue. Getting around Cab, limo and taxi services available (if you want to go for a tour of the wineries and don't want to drive). Getting around on bicycles is a popular choice as well.
