Positive: The hotel rooms are separate to the pub and restaurant, in the house next door. This was warm and cozy even in February, so we literally received a very warm welcome from both staff and property. The room itself was as shown on the website, nicely decorated, clean and well presented. The breakfast was fantastic, we could not fault any of it.We paid extra for breakfast (as it wasn't included) but it was definitely worth walking from the room and into the pub for!
Negative: We were in room 6, right at the top of the building. Whilst it was nice and snug to begin, the room was too hot during the night, it seemed to get hotter and hotter. It was difficult to see how to cool the room down, as the velux window was tricky to open. The pillows were too hard for us and the bed too soft, but this is obviously personal preference. Unfortunately, all this led to a poor night's sleep, hence 8/10 rating.
