Summary: The house and yard are very cute and the location is great. The layout is interesting (go through one bedroom to get to another) but it’s an old house and was still charming. The house was clean and comfortable. Would be a great place in the warner season where you could really enjoy the outside spaces. That said, it was the poorest stocked house we’ve rented. No washcloths, no hand towels in the bathrooms, no hand soap (just a couple motel style shampoo bottles), no oven mitts to get hot things out of the ovens, fewer dishes than there are number of people the house sleeps, limited toilet paper (we stayed two nights and ran out in one bathroom), etc. the bedrooms rely on space heaters and one blew the breaker, we had a heck of a time finding it to turn back on. And finally, the bushes at the street were really overgrown and coupled with the trash and at the road, it was impossible to see when pulling out onto the busy road. Like REALLY dangerous. I’m still giving it four stars because the negative things are all easy fixes that would make for a five star stay.
