The vestiges related to the time of this beginning are well evident in several architectural details of this beautiful and enormous HOUSE, of which the inner chapel stands out, with altar bordered in gilded carving.
Throughout its extensive life, CASA DAS MURAS was the "headquarters", in the municipality of Penafiel, Morgado de Nossa Senhora da Vela, one of the most important agricultural and livestock poles in the region, consisting of innumerable farms producing green wine, olive oil, maize and animal fodder.
