Both homes have covered verandas and out door seating, thru the ranch sliders the homes open up to spacious dining and living areas, with full modern kitchens at the back. To the sides are the two bedrooms and bathroom.
Set on a massive enclosed section and on a very quiet road, Tanias offers a big yard for the kids to play in and ample covered veranda space for the grown ups to watch them (whilst sipping on a G and T).
100 metres away is the islands top coffee house and roaster (Neil Dearlove), and also Rarotongas best baker (Reuben Dearlove his son)... mental note fresh baked croissants and bread every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (be there early).
The immediate coastline where Tanias is situated is rugged, and although not ideal for swimming (its corally) is perfect for up close rock pooling and reef fishing.
Tanias is less than a five minute drive to Muri Lagoon, and all things Muri (beaches, resturants and hotel bars) and five minutes to the main township of Avarua (when there arn't road works).
For one or two families looking for a high value/comfort level, Tanias will "check the box".
Each home will take 4 people comfortably, and both combined 8.

Summary: Overall we were very happy with the place. Anything I mentioned is not as criticism but rather as information to assist anyone planning to rent there. The apartment is one of two in a large garden in rural surrounds with plenty of non intrusive and entertaining visits from chicken and chicks, pigs and piglettes, and a few shy cats. The roosters however , were not such a favourite in the early hours! There is a supermarket within two minutes walk. The sea can be heard and is only five minutes walk. Lovely sunrises not sunsets. But not a beach suitable for swimming. Mûri beach is about 45 mins walk, or hire a car. The bedrooms are large with big cupboards and comfy beds . The pillows were not so comfy so you might want to take your own. The lounge , dinning room and kitchen are all perfectly adequate . Only drawback being the lighting is low, so a head torch for reading or board games is advised. The hot water, shower, washing machine and toilet all did their jobs very well. A decent broom and mop would have been a god send as we stayed for two weeks. The value is very good
