Summary: We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. The downstairs bedroom with the half bath was nice and the bed was comfortable. It was cooler than the rest of the house by at least 5 degrees. The half bathroom was convenient, but very small and had no door. The upstairs bedroom had a Queen size bed. It was too firm for our taste. The kitchen was well stocked with pretty much everything you would need. There was a nice selection of spices and spice blends for cooking. The house appears to have been very old but recently remodeled. The old stone stove hearth with open fire pot kitchen was a very interesting part of the house. It is just decorative now, but very interesting talking point. The screened in porch upstairs was wonderful. We enjoyed it in the mornings and evenings. They had plenty of games and things to do inside and outside. The ceilings are low in some of the bedrooms, just above the door trim. I am 5’10” so it didn’t bother me, but if you are tall you will have to duck down in some of the rooms. We stayed here in October, so we couldn’t enjoy the community swimming pool, but it looked very nice. There was a nice playset/park near the swimming pool. We really enjoyed the beach. We decided to do the basic sandcastle building class on the beach. We learned that Jamaica beach was only one of three places where you can drive and park on the beach on the Island. All of that was an experience we will never forget. We really enjoyed this cozy little house.
