Imagine walking through the Looking Glass and finding a beautiful house full of treasures …..well…..let us welcome you to the Yellow House which nestles in the middle of the achingly pretty Andalucian town of Higuera de la Sierra within Huelva’s natural park. The Yellow House belies its secrets from the cobbled streets outside. Dating back to 1892, and originally the home of the town’s Mayor, this beautiful neo-classical mansion definitely has the Wow factor and is unimaginably beautiful. The entrance hall boasts a piano (for decorative purposes only) and a fabulous antique chandelier. Although completely restored, Simone has managed to retain all the original features (including 102 shutters and windows that have been removed to be meticulously stripped and re-sanded………and all the downstairs floor tiles are original) …… fixtures and fittings have been chosen with care, each complimenting the other, and all facilities are contemporary – including bathroom fittings imported from the Burlington Bathroom Company in the UK

Downstairs are 3 fabulous bedrooms (all with stunning en-suite bathrooms), a cosy living room, stylish dining room with quirky prints, original fireplace and a super swish kitchen with its built-in fridge and cooker, ultra-modern appliances and original floor tiles. There is everything that guests could possibly need to cook up a storm. French windows lead onto the courtyard.

Upstairs are 3 further bedrooms – all with fabulous chandeliers, views across the town and stunning bathrooms with walk in showers and lovely organic toiletries. Here is your second living room with velvet sofas and armchairs and quirky pictures painted by a local artist.
But……..one of the stars of this of so clever design show is the courtyard with its glass sided heated plunge pool……..cocktail lounge and potted palms……An artisan stone mason has re-laid the original floor. Fine wooden doors lead into town with its choice of restaurants and tapas bars….
