Simply Southern is conveniently located near downtown Gatlinburg. We are in a small development called Eagle Cove & we border the GSMNP, yet we are within a short walk of downtown. Sit on the deck in the swing and listen to the creek running nearby or relax in the hot tub. Simply Southern has it all! A perfect spot for a romantic getaway for two yet spacious enough for a family of four. We are located right next door to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg with quick access to all of the entertainment, fine eateries and many other area attractions, right at your fingertips. You will be within walking distance to many activities including the Gatlinburg Tram that takes you on a scenic ride to the top of Ober Gatlinburg, or fly down a zip line... Simply Southern is perfectly nestled at the edge of town so you can also visit the Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) or any of the local gift or craft shops close by. Getting hungry? Simply Southern is conveniently located just around the corner from the Park Grill and Calhoun's restaurants, which are great for when you have worked up a hearty appetite from all of the days activities! However, our kitchen is well equipped if you decide to stay in... When you have become weary from the sun and fun and downtown excitement, Simply Southern awaits and welcomes you to come in, relax and watch your favorite movie on the large flat screen TV in front of the electric fireplace or play a friendly game of pool or any of 60+ games on the multi-cade arcade system in the spacious game room. Melt your cares away by ending the evening in the private hot tub on our back deck under the beautiful Tennessee stars. If its too cold to be outside, dont let that stop you from relaxing - the master bedroom features an inviting jacuzzi tub that will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for another eventful day. Have additional guests along? Simply Southern can be easily packaged with another great Eagle Cove property located very close by called Lover's Loft that hosts many great amenities & similar features with your spectacular memory making escape to the Smoky Mountains in mind. Outdoor recreation is the name of the game in this phenomenal region, and youll have ample opportunities to experience the best of it. For the thrill seekers in your group, head to the zipline or a mountain coaster for a day of adrenaline-pumping fun. Ride a chairlift, walk the suspension bridge! During the winter, youll be just 10 minutes from skiing at Ober Gatlinburg Ski Lodge, in addition to ice skating and an outdoor activity park, which includes snow tubing! Also, take in some intriguing culture at Ripleys Aquarium of the Smokies, or at a local wine, bourbon, or moonshine tasting. End the day with some retail therapy at the nearby outlet shops and a delectable meal from one of the many fine restaurants in the area to put the cherry on top of an unforgettable retreat. We are approximately 25 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Dollywood (varies according to time of year and traffic patterns.) We hope that Simply Southern will quickly become one of your favorite destinations in Gatlinburg after your stay! You can walk down to town on the road you drive in on (fairly steep walk back) or you can walk on past the development and cut through a parking lot over to town as well. The Trolley runs in town and to Pigeon Forge as well. The closest trolley stop is over by the Sidney James hotel. Gatlinburg parking is mainly pay to park; however, there is $5 lot over near the tram to Ober Gatlinburg. There are a few free parking spots on River Road right past the aquarium. Winter weather can be snowy and/or icy - sometimes a four wheel drive or all wheel drive may be needed. However, the City of Gatlinburg does do a very good job in snowy weather. Pet fee is $75.00 and is non refundable. It does not cover damage done by your pet or excessive cleaning due to the pet. Please bring their bed/kennel with them and keep them off furniture.
