Positive: We had a delightful stay at Shepherd's Cottage. Nicole and Reuben had thougfully put up some Christmas decorations and an advent calendar with drawers with treats. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and well equipped with a lake view. It's an easy stroll into Hawkshead from directly outside the door with other walks - fell and valley - close by. Ambleside, Grasmere, Coniston and Windermere are a short drive away. It had everything we were looking for.
