If you have little ones with you, they can get their wiggles out on Saunders Point Park, which features a playground with tables and seating next to Big Pond. Maryland's natural shoreline woods are a .4 mile walk away at Beverly Triton Nature Park and a 2.3 mile walk away at Mayo Beach Park (which is a 5-minute drive, but at times they require online registration to drive-in and park so we recommend checking in advance). Shopping and restaurants in Edgewater, Annapolis, and many other Chesapeake Bay communities are just a car ride away. Wanting a day trip? Washington D.C., the National Harbor, or Baltimore are only about an hour away.
