The inspiration for the "The Santorini" aka "The Santorini Beach House" came from a client building their dream house on a Greek Island. Knowing how far away and expensive it is to travel to Greece, I decided to redecorate my white stucco house, which already looks very Greek, to look something like re-creating that Greek island experience right here in Houston. The idea is to create a resort-like feel in the urban setting of Houston. While inside the home, it feels like its taken you to this other world. However, when you step outside the door, you are in Houston.
Re-launched after a 5 month, $50,000 renovation, this townhouse features giant wall murals of the beach and Santorini Greece. It features a built in electric fireplace, all hardwood floors, shiplap, and wood beams for that warm cozy feel of home.
What you get at the Santorini:
-No IKEA furniture - the furniture is higher end, as this is a private residence (part-time for the owner)

-water, tea, coffee ( including coffee maker)
-cotton sheets, soft towels (no stains or they are thrown out)

Guests will love the abundance of walled gardens inside and outside, along with great lighting, ready to delight every guest. Guests can enjoy 2 outdoor spaces - patio, off the master bedroom, and yard, offering full turf. Both areas offer great seating areas for a romantic night in, or a dinner party offering lots of seating for up to 12 guests.
This is a 3 story townhouse, with master and 2nd bedroom on the 3rd floor, kitchen/living room on 2nd floor, and bedroom/bath with garage on the 1st floor. Its got a huge kitchen and wine bar, with top of the line fridge storage and wine storage, included. This it the perfect for cooking dinner and hosting a few friends.
The master suite will satisfy every need with a reading area, TV, large soaking tub with a breakfast in bed (or the tub) tray. Have the best sleep of your life in the soft bed with luxury pillows, cotton sheets, and bedspread (all goosedown soft). The view opens to the outdoor patio complete with a walled garden of a trellis of frangipani and bulb lights for a great ambiance.
All bedrooms have a private bathroom, flat screen TV, darkening shades and gel mattresses/goosedown feathered pillows for that perfect relax time and sleep. There's a beautiful sitting patio off the edge of the master bedroom to enjoy those beautiful weather days in Houston. And a spiral staircase to the top floor which is a rooftop terrace, and a great view of Downtown Houston.
The flex room offers a mini-gym and yoga room, with a thick padded carpet. A desk to features shelves and printer. Its also a TV/play room. This room can convert to a guest room with a pullout couch to accommodate extra guests on a queen-sized mattress, offering the comforts of a gel mattress. The flex room is decorated with a giant wall mural of Santorini Greece, and the bathroom offers antique white wood, offering great comfort and style to guests who need more than a couch to sleep on for some solid downtime.
The Santorini Beach House is near the best parks in Houston, including Memorial Park, which has just expanded with hiking, biking running trails galore. Its all about convenience and amenities with this house, you have it all.
Electric bicycles with baby tow cart available, upon request, for a nominal $10/day charge for the 2 bikes and little kid buggy/baby seat during your stay. If you are needing extra baby things, just ask.

This is a private rental, so no one is there to interact with. But as the host, of course, always happy to help acquaint my guests around Houston. I am on call for any of the guest's needs during your stay.
I love the proximity to Memorial Park and Buffalo Bayou Park. I'm a runner, so its great if you like the outdoors. Washington Avenue is nearby and there's a whole night scene on weekend nights, bustling with restaurant and bar-goers.
Public transportation in Houston is not great. You definitely need a car. But driving anywhere in Houston from here is very easy. I-10 is less than 5 minutes away.

For longer term stays of 2 weeks or more, there is a pet cleaning and deoderizing fee of $350 per pet. Short stays, pets stay for free, but the pet owner is responsible for any damage or extra cleaning should this be an issue.

Registered guest of record is the one who will pick up the key to the house upon check in. If someone other than the registered guest of record would like to check in, primary guest needs to notify me who this person is, and please do this at the time the booking is made or within a few days of arrival, and not on the same day of arrival. This is not a hotel. It is a private residence.
If you'd like to arrive prior to check in, please let me know. Happy to accommodate so long we make arrangements prior to the day of arrival. I do like to show my guests around the property, but on emergency, I can also provide an alternate way to access the property too.
Please be respectful and clean up after yourself when using the kitchen or common areas.
Please leave your bedroom in the same condition from which you found it.
Please also start the first wash of the dishwasher and towels/sheets prior to leaving, this helps, as waiting for the wash cycle to finish can be many hours for the cleaning crew.
