Alternatively, take a stroll around Godinton House and Gardens (8 miles). This beautiful Jacobean-style building boasts a rich history dating back to the 15th century. Alternatively, experience an African-style safari at Port Lympne Reserve (18.5 miles) and get up close to giraffes, rhinos and lions while touring the expansive grounds. Sample the fine vintages on offer at many of the local wineries from Domaine Evremond in the next village, partnered with Taittinger Champagne and due to open in Spring 2025, to Balfour Winery (19.5 miles), which makes more than 400,000 bottles of still and sparkling wines each year

There are also two handy double sofa beds in the reading room. At the end of the day, you’ll find two beautifully-styled bedrooms on the second floor – one king-size and one twin. Completing the layout, you’ll find a large wet room on the split-level floor.
Enjoy a morning coffee in the fully-enclosed garden. It’s the ideal spot to fire up the charcoal BBQ in the evening.
