Summary: The house was good and location was very convenient for our goals (skiing at Northstar while staying outside of the resort area). We also walked to a nearby park and it was also a very nice thing to discover. I was doubting about booking this place because of several bad reviews, so here is my update: 1) matrasses where good and sheets were clean; 2) coffee maker and dishwasher worked just fine. 3) blinds were in place, no issues with that. I also really appreciate having a big collection of boardgames, and a grand piano (my kid practiced during our stay). Some things that didn't ruin my experience but would be good to have improved: 1) I hate sheets that discharge static electricity, but 100% cotton does not releases sparks. I know it's hard to avoid in winter. It would be so much better with a 100% cotton sheets. After reading bad reviews I brought my own cotton sheets (just in case) and even though provided sheets looked and felt fine, I ended up changing them to my own. 2) Electric kettle. It's a mystery why so many homes do not have it! be different and we'd love you more :-) 3) I was struggling to understand which light switch turns what on in the living room. Maybe you could add labels to the switches? 4) I'd love to have humidifiers in bedrooms. My kid and some other people I know easily develop nose bleeds due to dry air at Tahoe, and he had them this time as well. Overall, we had a great vacation and don't regret renting this house at all.
