Tsolum River within a 10 minute walk, access to the One Spot Trail at the end of our private drive. We are 20 minutes to downtown Courtenay, 10 minutes to Mount Washington turnoff.

Summary: We had a wonderful time being hosted by Shannon at the Heather Cottage. Tucked away in a quiet location right on a wetland, it’s a great escape from the day to day. The cottage is cute and cozy, with everything you need for your getaway. We loved the fresh farm eggs, and the ambience. Wildlife awaits each time you look out towards the wetlands, with a variety of birds as well as an orchestra of frogs come dusk. Would recommend this place if you are looking for a relaxing getaway surrounded by infinite things to do nearby.
