4 Bedroom Cottage in Kilkhampton, Bude

A recently refurbished character cottage with lots of original features and amenities. With enclosed front garden as well as rear enclosed lawned garden. With garden furniture and barbeque perfect for summer evenings.
Situated within the village, where there's a family park, 2 family pubs, shops, and takeaways, and within 3 miles of the local beaches.
There is off street parking, kitchen diner seating 6 plus highchair. A cosy lounge with woodburning stove and smart screen tv. Also a utility room with washer dryer.
A lovely summer cottage for bbqs in a summer evening after a day at the beach. And great in the winter with a cozy lounge to snuggle down next to the wood burner.
The cottage has many original features throughout, including wood flooring, Victorian tiled floors, sash windows, and feature fireplaces.
For families we have stair gates, a highchair, and travel cot.
Downstairs there is a good sized kitchen diner, seating 6 comfortably plus highchairs. There are Victorian tiles, feature fireplace and large south facing sash windows. The well equipped kitchen features a fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Also downstairs is a lovely lounge with woodburning stove, smart tv, and south facing sash window.
Theres a downstairs toilet and utility room, with washer dryer.
Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, 1 double master room with Victorian fireplace and wooden floor, space for travel cot and tv.
A king size bedroom with a zip lock bed so this can be made into 2 single beds, tv, wood floor and space for a travel cot.
There are also 2 single bedrooms, and an upstairs bathroom with electric shower over bath.
Outside there are 2 off road parking spaces, 1 front south facing garden and a rear lawned garden. Where there is a very useful shed, storing the bbq, and hangers for wetsuits after a busy day on the beach. This shed can also be use for any other outdoor gear you may have such as bikes, boards, etc.

Summary: The house it self was lovely. But... The washing machine didn't work, it just faulted a pressure issue. The shower pressure was very poor, so it took my wife ages to get wash her hair. The wifi kept dropping off then would come on for a couple minutes then off again for a while, very annoying. And for some reason the heat sensor was fitted directly above the cooker so that was going off every breakfast time when using the grill, we had to stand there holding one of the freezer drawers over it in order to stop it going off while simply cooking bacon. And not a major fault but one of the beds could do with a new mattress the slightest movement and the springs would make loud squeaking noises, i ended up sleeping on the sofa so my wife could actually get some sleep. The property owner was very pleasant in the conversations we had by email and seemed like a lovely person. I recommend the area its a lovely village and very close to the beautiful seaside town of bude. The property was very close to my Dad's so we used his washing machine but we only needed as we'd just come back from our honeymoon in Greece and all our clothes needed a wash. A beautiful house very good price with a few minor issues.
