Summary: This was my second visit and everything was as good as I remembered. The cottage is beautifully situated with magnificent views just outside Port Clyde, with the Marshall Point lighthouse nearby. It has one bedroom and a mostly unfinished attic where a couple of more people could sleep.There are two bathrooms and a washer and dryer. The owner, Kathy, was always available and a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately, the Port Clyde General Store, the Dip Net restaurant and the ferry ticket office burned down last year just after I left. The ticket office has been rebuilt and the General Store occupies part of it. So, life goes on and I was still able to drink my morning coffee outside a small coffee shop that escaped the fire. Port Clyde is at the very tip of the St. George Peninsula so it’s a bit of a drive back to Route 1, but that just contributes to the charm, quiet and seclusion of the place.
