The Bushman's Cottage was built in the 1880’s as a grazer’s cottage fully restored as a self-contained two bedroom cottage, perfect for couples or families who are looking for a weekend getaway in rural Australian countryside. The cottage has a tranquil view of Pipeclay creek which winds its way through the vineyards, take the steps down to the fire pit and enjoy the country air - glass of wine in hand.
Pieter van Gent Winery & Vineyard is located about 10 minutes drive out from the centre of Mudgee. Close enough to town that coffee is always near but far enough out of town to see the stars in the night sky.
The Bushman's Cottage has a no-nonsense kitchen, a BBQ on the deck, flat screen TV and reverse cycle air conditioning. All linen is provided along with a complimentary bottle of wine. Tea and coffee making facilities are available along with milk in the fridge.

Summary: Wonderful place to stay, perfectly secluded, even being next to the cellar door. 4 Burner gas stove, lovely fireplace, beautiful surrounds. Brand new 3 seater leather lounge + Single matching armchair (owner has taken note of previous reviews and upgraded promptly) Will definitely be back, pricing was great and well within the realms of the establishment. One thing that I might recommend (and only because I am 6ft4 is that they might consider having a queen in the main bedroom, and a double in the other bedroom. The beds are very comfortable, but being older bed frames, overly sized people like myself cant quite stretch out and whilst the beds are very comfy, having a queen sized bed would be more accommodating. Other than that, a fantastic stay
