Positive: Plaza de España Hotel by Sonder (Marriott Bonvoy) offers an amazing location right next to Plaza de España, friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms, and a charming terrace with a wonderful view.
Negative: On the third day, the window broke and wouldn’t close properly, which made it hard to sleep because of the traffic and city noise. It would have been great if housekeeping had noticed and reported it during cleaning, so we didn’t discover it late at night after a long day. Thankfully, they fixed it the next day. The internet was also down for a day or two, though I’m not sure why. Lastly, the small lift for carrying bags between the entrance and reception has been out of order for a while, so we had to carry our luggage up one flight of stairs, something that could really use a fix. Despite these hiccups, our overall experience was still positive.
Summary: Great location & views, friendly staff, with minor issues that didn’t overshadow a positive stay
