Positive: Beautiful big house with a nice garden and yard, nice decor inside with lots of original artwork, large well equipped kitchen with an island, good size bedroom and bathroom on the main level with ground level entry suitable for people with mobility issues, great views across the sound toward SeaTac airport, nice deck and patio areas at the back of the house.
Negative: At $400 US a night this is an expensive place to stay on Vashon island especially after you factor in the US-Canada exchange rate. The house is also a little hard to find as there are no obvious signs indicating where the house is. Only one of the three bedrooms are on the main level, the oher two are in the above ground basement and require going up and down stairs to access them, not ideal for seniors. The two bedrooms downstairs had beds that were too soft for our liking, also a bit cold downstairs. A minor issue but the upstairs windows could use some cleaning as well. It would also be helpful if the owners put together a binder of useful information about the house and Vashon Island.
