I designed and decorated the unit with loving care down to the details. I wanted to create a space that’s comfortable, yet a little bit surprising.
Our guests agree that Casa Kimberly Dawn is tops at Icon Vallarta (the above quote is from one happy visitor!).
Here are some of my favorite details:
Cobalt blue walls contrasted with a sunflower yellow L-shaped couch. Reclaimed, rustic wood tables accented with metal detail (the coffee table is made from reclaimed railroad ties found in Thailand). A warm, modern kitchen wrapped in wood. Some knockout pieces of art, like an imaginative chandelier over the dining table, and a coral tree in the living area.
An accent wall created from wood etched to mimic waves showcases a 50” 3D flatscreen with Apple TV and Netflix for an unsurpassed movie night by the sea!
And most attention-grabbing of all—a wall-to-wall glass view of the Pacific coast and the endless sky.
Beyond the sliding glass doors is a HUGE wraparound balcony—one of the largest in the building. Two balcony areas offer dining space, lounging space, and morning-coffee space.
Need to work a little while on vacation? Set up shop in the den at the desk with printer. Or, take your laptop to the balcony and tap out some emails in view of the Pacific Ocean. Free Wi-Fi reaches every corner of the condo. We also provide free Vonage phone service, with free long distance calls to the US & Canada. A cell phone is available for local phone calls.
Another feature we love: open the front and back balcony doors, turn on the ceiling fans (found in every room), and experience a cool cross-breeze from the back bay that refreshes the entire apartment.
KITCHEN & DINING DETAILS
You’ll want to enjoy at least one meal in this stunning eating/entertaining area facing boundless ocean views. One dining table seats 8 indoors. The other, out on the wrap-around balcony, seats 4 to 6.
Uncork a bottle of wine and hit the kitchen to prepare a gourmet meal with stainless steel appliances and all the kitchen utensils and tools you could need, plus a few common spices, oils, salt & pepper, and condiments like ketchup, mustard, and relish.
Other appliances include an Espresso machine, a wine fridge, a washer & dryer, blender and toaster.
Because the dining and living areas are adjacent, the cook doesn’t have to be miles away from everyone.
Don’t feel like cooking at all? Not a problem. The Icon Vallarta provides room service delivery from their restaurant, OR, even better, a personal chef will come to your condo and prepare a special dish for you right on the spot.
BED & BATH DETAILS
Three luxury bedrooms can coax anyone into a glorious night’s sleep.
All three bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms stocked with organic toiletries, butter-soft Jennifer Adams sheets, flat screen TVs, iPod docking stations, and access to the wraparound balcony through 8-foot glass sliding doors, which also ensures that everyone wakes up to a spectacular view of the coast.
Because you’re booking the trip, you should claim the first Master bedroom, with wraparound views on two sides and a king-sized, pillow-top bed with a one-of-a-kind Christopher Guy Pebble Headboard. From this cloudlike space, wake up in the morning to the sun rising over the mountains. The en-suite master bathroom features bowl sinks, spa-quality towels and organic toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash dispensers right in the shower.
The other elegant Master also features a king-size, pillow-top bed and hues of old-world silver and sage green. The third bedroom—in bright, sunny yellows and rich blues—has two twins that combine to create a full-size for flexible accommodations.

Car rental is not necessary. Attractions and shopping are within walking distance, and taxicabs are readily available. The grocery store is within 5 minutes walking distance, and a general store just 2 minutes away.
