Welcome to “Ware-A-Dise”. This 3-bedroom 2- bath has just been completely remodeled. It sits directly on the Caribbean shore and enjoys spectacular ocean and sunset views from most rooms. There is excellent snorkeling right behind the house. Entry into the water is gradual and easy.
Enter into the great room, which enjoys sweeping ocean views through a wall of glass sliders. The living and dining areas enjoy these views, as does the stunning modern kitchen, finished in granite and stainless steel. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range, French door refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. There is a separate laundry off the great room.
Ware-A-Dise has three bedrooms:
The master bedroom has king bed, an ocean view, a full en-suite bath with a walk-in shower, and direct private access to the patio.
The second bedroom also has a king bed, an ocean view, and direct private access to the patio.
The third bedroom has day bed which converts to a queen.
These two bedrooms share a full bath with a shower/tub combination.
There is also a lovely outdoor shower, enclosed for privacy, with hot and cold water.
Ware-A-Dise has some of the best outdoor spaces on the island. There is a large screened porch with sweeping ocean views, furnished for both lounging and dining. Beyond it are two large sun decks. The lower deck has stairs leading to a path to the waterfront, 40 feet away. The water here is typically as calm as a lake with a very gentle grade entering the water. The bottom is rocky right at the beginning, then becomes sandy. The coral behind the house provides excellent snorkeling. On a recent day of snorkeling I saw tangs, angelfish, wrasses, groupers, snappers, bar jacks, barracudas, grunts, spadefish, and many other species I could not identify.
Amenities at Ware-A-Dise include AC throughout, super-fast Starlink WIFI, cable TV with smart TV for streaming, whole-house back-up generator, landline phone for local and U.S. calling, outdoor gas grill, 4 beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, and beautiful sunsets every day!
The town of Palmetto Point, a 3 minute drive from the house, has several small grocery stores and restaurant/bars. Governors Harbour, the main town on the island, is 10 or 12 minutes by car from the property. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won't want to miss it.

Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed on the island more than a dozen times and this home was the best constructed and most thoughtfully appointed house of all. It had plenty of everything I needed, and none of the extra stuff that I didn't. I usually spend the first afternoon of my stay decluttering the counters and coffee tables of "knick-knack" style decor to simplify the space in most homes. That was not necessary here. Everything was clean and practical, and nothing took away from the amazing view, which was unobstructed from the kitchen, living area, and both main bedrooms. I was blown away to find the home had a garbage disposal: something I have never had on the island, but very useful since you want to make sure you get rid of your waste as securely as possible due to island bugs, which leads to my next point. The sliding doors were SO substantial. This may seem trivial, but on an island teeming with no-see-ums and other bugs, this ensured that the home remained completely bug free and that I could enjoy the screened in patio without concern. Further, having a generator is becoming a necessity on island with power outages becoming more frequent, and that did not disappoint! One of the most delightful bonuses was the cold water dispenser and 5 gallon jugs waiting for me! Since you must drink filtered water on the island, 5 gallon jugs are the most economical option, but they don't fit nicely in the fridge (if you like cold water). The dispenser is just like what you might see in office, allowing you to fill a cup with cold water on demand. The house even had Yetis & lids for taking down to the water! Again, small but such thoughtful amenities that made the stay superior. The house had quality beach chairs & umbrellas that made it easy to pack up for other beaches, which you'll need to do if you want a sandy beach. You can still swim here, but as the listing says, it is rocky. My one minor complaint is that there is no real couch, rather (very fancy) recliner style chairs.
